Help Craft a National Health Services Research Agenda
Did you know that...
- One quarter of children with a chronic health condition use some type of complementary or alternative medicine (CAM)?
- One quarter of children who used herbal or non-vitamin supplements also used prescription medications for at least 3 months?
Many children are using CAM today. You can help shape the future direction of the pediatric integrative medicine (IM) field by participating in a brief, anonymous survey being conducted by the CAHMI and the Pediatric Complementary and Alternative Medicine Research Network (PedCAM) with funding from the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine. Results will be used to craft a national research agenda on CAM/IM for children including clinical, health services, and policy research recommendations.
